The heating degree K-factor is a unique number for each home that shows how fast it uses fuel (oil, propane, etc.), calculated by dividing the Heating Degree Days (how cold it was) by the gallons of fuel used, essentially telling you how many degree days it takes to burn one gallon. A lower K-factor means faster fuel use (needs more frequent delivery), while a higher K-factor indicates slower consumption (better insulation/efficiency).

FuelMor will automatically calculate and store K Factor values in Locations.

However, you may calculate manually the K Factor yourself and enter the K Factor in a Location.

Go to customer account, Locations, view, Settings, Degree Days.
